Please go to www.facebook.com/The12thRight and like the page. It is for a Swedish organization empowering women through the realisation of the Right to Health. If they get enough support they will bring resuable menstrual pads to women in poverty in Botswana.
Menstrual pads are an economic burden that women bear that men do not. If a girl child does not have access to menstrual pads, she is at risk of staying home due to embarassment, missing school and other opportunities. Helping women with their monthly cycle is a way is a way to make sure they have the same opportunities as anyone else, and alleviate an economic burden for a woman living in poverty.
